Anxiety/Fear
ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَتَطْمَئِنُّ قُلُوبُهُم بِذِكْرِ ٱللَّهِ ۗ أَلَا بِذِكْرِ ٱللَّهِ تَطْمَئِنُّ ٱلْقُلُوبُ
Alladhina amanu wa tatma’innu quloobuhum bidhikrillah, ala bidhikrillahi tatma’innul-quloob
those who believe and whose hearts find comfort in the remembrance of Allah. Surely in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find comfort.
Dua for Peaceful Heart
Surah Ar-Ra’d 13:28
قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ ٱلْفَلَقِ.مِن شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ.وَمِن شَرِّ غَاسِقٍ إِذَا وَقَبَ.وَمِن شَرِّ ٱلنَّفَّـٰثَـٰتِ فِى ٱلْعُقَدِ.وَمِن شَرِّ حَاسِدٍ إِذَا حَسَدَ
qul ‘aeudh birabb ٱlfalaqi.min sharr ma khalaqa.wamin sharr ghasiq ‘iidha waqaba.wamin sharr ٱlnnffathat fia ٱleuqadi.wamin sharr hasid ‘iidha hasada.
Say, ˹O Prophet,˺ “I seek refuge in the Lord of the daybreak from the evil of whatever He has created,and from the evil of the night when it grows dark,and from the evil of those ˹witches casting spells by˺ blowing onto knots,and from the evil of an envier when they envy.”
Dua for Protection (fear of darkness, loneliness)
Surah Al-Falaq
رَبَّنَآ أَفْرِغْ عَلَيْنَا صَبْرًۭا وَثَبِّتْ أَقْدَامَنَا وَٱنصُرْنَا عَلَى ٱلْقَوْمِ ٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَ
rabbana ‘afrigh ealayna sabranۭa wathabbit ‘aqdamana waٱnsurna ealaa ٱlqawm ٱlkafirin
“Our Lord, pour out upon us patience and plant firmly our feet and give us victory over the disbelieving people.”
Dua for Steadfastness in Fearful Situations
Surah Al-Baqarah 2:250
وَقُل رَّبِّ أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ هَمَزَٰتِ ٱلشَّيَـٰطِينِ.وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ رَبِّ أَن يَحْضُرُونِ
waqul rrbb ‘aeudh bik min hamazat ٱlshshayatini.wa’aeudh bik rabb ‘an yahdurun
And say, “My Lord! I seek refuge in You from the temptations of the devils. And I seek refuge in You, my Lord, that they ˹even˺ come near me.”
Dua for Protection from Shaytan’s Anxiety & Whispers
Surah Al-Mu’minun 23:97–98
لَّآ إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّآ أَنتَ سُبْحَـٰنَكَ إِنِّى كُنتُ مِنَ ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ
lla ‘iilah ‘illa ‘ant subhanak ‘inna kunt min ٱlzzalimin
“There is no god ˹worthy of worship˺ except You. Glory be to You! I have certainly done wrong.
Surah Al-Anbiya 21:87
وَقَالَ مُوسَىٰ يَـٰقَوْمِ إِن كُنتُمْ ءَامَنتُم بِٱللَّهِ فَعَلَيْهِ تَوَكَّلُوٓا۟ إِن كُنتُم مُّسْلِمِينَ.فَقَالُوا۟ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ تَوَكَّلْنَا رَبَّنَا لَا تَجْعَلْنَا فِتْنَةًۭ لِّلْقَوْمِ ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ
waqal musaa yaqawm ‘iin kuntum ‘amantum biٱlllah faealayh tawakkalua۟ ‘iin kuntum mmuslimina.faqalua۟ ealaa ٱlllah tawakkalna rabbana la tajealna fitnatanۭ llilqawm ٱlzzalimin
“Moses said, ‘O my people, if you have believed in Allah, then rely upon Him, if you should be Muslims.’ So they said, ‘Upon Allah do we rely.’”
