Sadness
رَبَّنَا وَلَا تُحَمِّلْنَا مَا لَا طَاقَةَ لَنَا بِهِ وَاعْفُ عَنَّا وَاغْفِرْ لَنَا وَارْحَمْنَا ۚ أَنْتَ مَوْلَانَا فَانْصُرْنَا عَلَى الْقَوْمِ الْكَافِرِينَ
Rabbana wa la tuhammilna ma la taqata lana bihi, wa‘fu ‘anna waghfir lana warhamna anta mawlana fansurna ‘alal-qawmil kafireen
Our Lord, do not burden us with what we cannot bear. Pardon us; forgive us; and have mercy upon us. You are our Protector, so give us victory over the disbelieving people.
Surah Al-Baqarah 2:286
رَبِّ اشْرَحْ لِي صَدْرِي وَيَسِّرْ لِي أَمْرِي
Rabbi ishrah li sadri, wa yassir li amri
My Lord, expand for me my chest [with assurance], and ease for me my task.
Surah Ta-Ha 20:25–26
رَبَّنَا أَفْرِغْ عَلَيْنَا صَبْرًا وَتَوَفَّنَا مُسْلِمِينَ
Rabbana afrigh ‘alayna sabran wa tawaffana muslimeen
Our Lord, pour upon us patience and let us die as Muslims [in submission to You].
Surah Al-A‘raf 7:126
لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ سُبْحَانَكَ إِنِّي كُنْتُ مِنَ الظَّالِمِينَ
La ilaha illa anta, subhanaka inni kuntu minaz-zalimin
There is no deity except You; exalted are You. Indeed, I have been of the wrongdoers.
Surah Al-Anbiya 21:87
